Animated Movie Poster WIP

For my project, I plan to animate the poster for original movie "The Lion King." Specific features I intend to manipulate using After Effects include: Simba's top two whisker's on both the left and right side of his face, the berries/ gourds attached to Raffiki's staff, as well as Raffiki's tail and head, Pumba's left and right ears, Timone's arms, and last but not least Nala's ear. All of the assets I just mentioned will be animated to look like they are moving naturally within a real world environment. Simba's whiskers will move up and down at different intervals, individually. The gourds will bounce up and down, like they are moving with wind. Raffiki's tail and head will also move up and down. Pumba's ears will move back and forth at individual intervals. Timone's hands will move back and forth, hinging at the elbow- as if he were waving them in the air. Lastly, Nala's ear will move up and down in a natural, relaxed gesture.

As of right now, I have imported my initial image into Photoshop and have isolated each individual object on their own layer in preparation for adding keyframes and subsequent animations when imported into After Effects. I was also considering potentially adding an opacity focused effect onto the clouds in the background. Professor McDowell mentioned the possibility of a smoke-like effect that I could potentially utilize in this case, but further experimentation and exploration of different effects is necessary.
